Maurice Jones-Drew has been just about all of the Jacksonville Jaguars offense this year. It should come as little surprise that he continued to do more of the same against the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Jaguars running back had 99 yards rushing and 67 yards receiving in a losing cause. The only thing missing from Jones-Drew's day was a touchdown.
Maurice Jones-Drew Fantasy Update: Jaguars RB Has Huge Game In Defeat
It has been that kind of season for Jones-Drew and the Jaguars. The 26-year-old has rushed for 941 yards already to go along with 139 yards receiving. His five touchdowns are a bit disappointing, but there’s only so much you can do when your offense is as bad as the Jaguars.
On Sunday, the offense was so bad that rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert was pulled in the fourth quarter and replaced by Luke McCown. Gabbert was 13 of 29 for 136 yards and an interception before being pulled. With that kind of passing offense, it's only going to be tougher for Jones-Drew to produce.
