Ahmad Bradshaw Injury Update: Giants Running Back Still Needs To Improve

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin declared that running back Ahmad Bradshaw's foot injury is at a point where he actually needs to show some improvement before he would even be a game-time decision. That would seem to indicate he is doubtful for Sunday, and thus less than a 50% chance of playing.

Bradshaw has been dealing with a cracked bone in his foot and implications of the injury have been across the board from out indefinitely to no big deal. He could potentially get surgery on the foot but has held off the decision for now. If he has surgery, the absence would be further extended to an indefinite time frame.

In the meantime, backup Brandon Jacobs will take over the starting role. Normally, Jacobs picks up as many as ten carries in place of Ahmad Bradshaw. One has to wonder if D.J. Ware or Da'Rel Scott would fill that role, or work more as a normal backup getting just a few touches apiece at most. For now, Jacobs is the play this Sunday. Ware is a flex option only if you are fairly desperate for a running back.
