Minnesota Vikings first-round quarterback Christian Ponder was able to practice on Friday and is listed as "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Christian Ponder A Game-Time Decision On Sunday
Ponder is regarded as a game-time decision.
“(Ponder) still has some soreness,” Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said on Friday according to 1500ESPN.com “But being able to see him drop back, deliver the ball, have his accuracy, moving around a little bit -- that was encouraging, because (Thursday), he was pretty stiff, but his movement was much better (Friday). So, we’ll see how he feels (during Saturday’s walk-through practice) as well when we’re throwing the ball around.”
Ponder injured his hip during last Sunday's 35-32 loss to the Denver Broncos. The 12th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft has passed for 1,522 yards with nine touchdowns and eight interceptions since replacing Donovan McNabb in the third quarter of the team's Week 6 loss to the Chicago Bears.
