After missing the last month with a hamstring injury, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin was able to practice on a limited basis throughout the week and appears on target to return to the starting lineup on Sunday night against the New York Giants.
Miles Austin Status Update
Austin injured his hamstring during a Week 9 win over the Seattle Seahawks. In six games this season, Austin has 28 receptions for 403 yards and four touchdowns. The veteran was able to practice last week and does not expect his prolonged absence to affect his timing with quarterback Tony Romo.
“I’m just saying in the way of the actual fundamentals of running routes, we have a good feel,” Austin said on Friday according to ESPN Dallas.
Austin’s return should help the Cowboys against the Giants, who have the NFL’s 29th-ranked pass defense, allowing 260.3 yards per game.
