Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith was back on the practice field a few days after missing the Lions game against the Minnesota Vikings. Smith has been dealing with an ankle sprain but was able to take part in individual workouts on Wednesday. He did not take part in team drills, but reportedly was moving well in his individual work.
Kevin Smith Injury Update: Lions RB Limited In Wednesday Practice
If Smith can play on Sunday he would move back into the starting lineup ahead of Keiland Williams and Maurice Morris. Morris was expected to be the starting running back this past week, but Keiland Williams ended up taking the bulk of the carries against the Vikings. Williams had 12 carries for 43 yards while Morris had four carries for 13 yards. Williams could very well be moving ahead of Morris on the depth chart behind Smith.
