Darren McFadden Ruled Out With Foot Injury

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden has been ruled "Out" for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, meaning he will miss a fifth consecutive game with a sprained foot.

McFadden, who had 614 rushing yards and four touchdowns in six-plus games to start the season, was injured early in the Raiders' 28-0 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7.

In McFadden's absence, 2007 draft choice Michael Bush has grabbed the reigns of the Raiders running game, producing 530 yards (106 per game) with three touchdowns to rank 19th in the NFL with 668 yards in his contract year. Despite his prolonged absence, McFadden still ranks 22nd thanks to his sterling 5.4 yards per carry average.

McFadden did not participate in any of the team’s practices this week and does not appear to be close to returning to the field anytime soon.
