Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner was held out of the team's first two practices of the week before returning on a limited basis on Friday.
Michael Turner Questionable With Groin Injury
Turner is regarded as a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
The 5-foot-10, 237-pound workhorse is closing in on another 1,000-yard season, running for 948 yards through the first 11 games of the season, which ranks fourth in the NFL and third in the NFC behind Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte and Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, who leads the NFL with 1,134 yards through 12 games. Turner's eight rushing touchdowns are tied for the fourth in the NFL this season.
Should Turner be unable to play against the Texans, the rushing duties would be shared by veteran Jason Snelling (25 carries, 57 yards in 2011) and rookie Jacquizz Rodgers a diminutive back who has 168 yards on 39 attempts this season.
