Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith left Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints in the third quarter after aggravating an ankle injury that knocked him out of the Lions Thanksgiving loss to the Packers. Smith had a solid enough game with 80 combined yards, but he was unable to return after the ankle injury.
Kevin Smith Injury Update: Lions RB Aggravates Ankle Injury Versus Saints
Maurice Morris ended up with the most carries for the evening with 12 rushes. He finished up with 28 yards as the Lions could not get a whole lot of anything going on the ground. Kevin Smith had some success but the Lions were forced to go to the air to keep up with the high-flying New Orleans Saints.
The Lions host an up and down Vikings squad in week 14. Given Kevin Smith's prior injury, he will likely be fairly limited in practice this week. For now he will be questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
