Steven Jackson Injury Update: Team Will Make Call Monday Night

The St. Louis Rams held running back Steven Jackson out of practice for a third straight day on Saturday and his status remains up in the air for Monday Night Football against the New York Giants. The team indicated the plan was to decide on Monday evening before the game, which means fantasy football owners are stuck in limbo waiting for official word.

As it currently stands, due to the late nature of the game your best bet is to simply bench him for the week and go with your next best option. If you have Cadillac Williams you're in a bit of luck, but otherwise, you're just going to have to roll the dice without Jackson this week. He could very well play as he has battled through injuries in the past but odds do not seem good for an appearance on MNF. It's simply not worth the risk of taking a goose egg if you have another running back you know will play.
