The Cincinnati Bengals released their Thursday practice participation report and rookie wide receiver A.J. Green made an unexpected appearance. Green was listed as a limited participant in practice with a toe issue. He was not on Wednesday's report, which would indicate the injury likely occurred during Wednesday's practice or early during Thursday's practice.
A.J. Green Injury Update: Appearance On Injury Report Should Not Limit Fantasy Potential
Tomorrow we'll know a bit more about the extent of the injury, although I'd imagine at worst Green will be listed as probable on the Bengals injury report. The question is whether he's worth starting if healthy. The rookie receiver is off to a strong start, leading rookies in receptions, yards and touchdowns. He has found an early chemistry with Andy Dalton that could prove quite valuable the rest of this season.
For the purposes of week three, Green has a favorable matchup against a 49ers secondary that has been less than stellar through the first two weeks. The 49ers seem to mix and match their cornerbacks between the left and right side, with their best corner, Carlos Rogers, moving around against different receivers. If Green gets more time against Tarell Brown, he could be in line for a big day.
