Fantasy Football Week 3 Kicker Projections: Stephen Gostkowski Is Top Play

In the previous update, we detailed the kicker projections based on statistics and computer-modeling, now we’ll turn to a “collective wisdom of crowds” approach. Our partner, playthisguy.com, has surveyed 18 fantasy football sources and come to a consensus ranking on how kickers should perform in Week 3.

The computer may have been a little down on Stephen Gostkowski but the gurus still believe, and they place him as the top kicker in Week 3. Mason Crosby for the reigning champ Green Bay Packers is a solid second, while John Kasay, taking advantage of good play from Cam Newton, is projected third.

David Akers used to be near the top of projections, but with the 49ers offense somewhat limited, he barely makes the top 20 at sixteen. Closing out the top 20 is Shaun Suisham for the Steelers.
