Update: Beanie Wells’ optimistic tweet.
Beanie Wells Injury: Game-Time Decision On Sunday
Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks with a hamstring injury.
Wells, who ranks eighth in the NFL with 183 rushing yards through two weeks, suffered the injury during Thursday’s practice and is regarded by head coach Ken Whisenhunt as a game-time decision.
“It’s doing well,” Wells told the team’s official website. “It got a little tight yesterday so we decided to let it calm down a little bit.
“I don’t think I’ll be limited at all if I play Sunday.”
After trading restricted free agent Tim Hightower to the Washington Redskins and losing 2011 second-round pick Ryan Williams to a season-ending knee injury, running back depth is an issue for the Cardinals. In addition to Wells' hamstring No. 2 running back LaRod Stephens-Howling is listed as questionable with a hand injury. Those injuries could lead to more playing for 32-year-old Chester Taylor, who had one carry for zero yards in last week's loss to the Redskins.
