Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin's name has become just as synonymous with migraine headaches as it has with big plays in the passing and return game. So when the third-year pro out of Florida appeared on the team's Thursday injury report with an "illness", concern raised that Harvin's migraine issues had returned.
Percy Harvin Status Update: Mid-Week Illness Not Related To Migraines
Turns out, the “illness” was a temporary stomach-related issue and Harvin returned to practice on Friday.
”Man, it was a stomachache...I’m fine, fine, fine. Anything else?,” Harvin said on Friday via Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com.
Harvin was a full participant during Friday’s practice and is listed as “probable” on the team’s final injury report of the week.
Despite not seeing as much playing time as starters Michael Jenkins and Bernard Berrian, Harvin leads the Vikings with nine receptions for 83 yards, ranks fourth on the team with 33 rushing yards and took one of his two kick returns back for a 103-yard kick return on the Vikings' first play of the 2011 season.
Harvin can be expected to fulfill all those duties against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
