Matt Ryan Status Update: Upgraded to Probable (Knee)

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was upgraded to probable with a knee injury on the injury report after practicing in full on Friday. Being listed as probable, it's expected Ryan will start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and try to improve his record against the Bucs to 6-1 for his career.

While Ryan is sure to start against the Bucs, if there is another viable quarterback on your fantasy bench you might want to consider playing them over Matt Ryan. While Ryan is 5-1 in his career against the Buccaneers, he has thrown eight interceptions and only five touchdowns against them with a passer rating of 65.9. The Bucs are simply the bane of Matt Ryan, at least statistically.

On the season, Ryan is completing 64% of his passes, but has only four touchdowns and three interceptions so far. I wouldn’t expect Ryan’s typical type of game against the Buccaneers to change this week, given his mediocre start to the season.
