New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was limited in practice on Friday but is still only listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders. The Jets receiver has been dealing with a quad injury this season but seems to be getting by without too much trouble. More than likely the Jets will simply rest him as much as they can during the week until he feels he is back to 100%. He'll remain on the injury report each week during that time but it's nothing to get too worried about.
Santonio Holmes Injury Update: Probable In Spite of Limited Participation On Friday
Holmes has gotten off to a solid enough start with 70 yards in week one and 42 yards and a touchdown in week two. Now he faces a Raiders defense that has gotten some great play from Stanford Routt and abysmal play from Chris Johnson. Given the scheming (or lack thereof) the Raiders showed last week against the Bills, Holmes looks like a solid WR2 option against Oakland.
