With Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno questionable with a hamstring injury, running back Willis McGahee will receive the bulk of the carries Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, reports Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.
Knowshon Moreno Questionable, Willis McGahee To Receive ‘Bulk’ Of Carries
Moreno missed last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but said Thursday that he plans to be ready for Sunday. He has just eight carries for 22 yards this season. The Denver Post reports that Moreno is expected to play, but of course, with a lingering injury like the hamstring that is currently plaguing Moreno, his impact may be limited.
Meanwhile, the veteran McGahee has filled in admirably with 32 carries for 104 yards and one touchdown along with six receptions for 37 yards. All but four of those carries and three of those yards came last week against the Bengals.
The Titans’ run defense ranks 14th in the NFL, so McGahee will have to work those yards.
