Daniel Thomas will begin wearing a larger helmet in practice this week to protect his head better, the Miami Herald reports. Thomas returned to practice Tuesday for the Miami Dolphins after recovering from his second concussion suffered in a month. The helmet is designed to minimize head trauma caused by repeated high-speed physical contact.
Daniel Thomas to wear larger helmet after repeat concussions: Fantasy implications
Daniel Thomas will wear an oversized helmet this week to protect his head better having suffered two concussions already this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

When asked if he was worried about his long-term health and the risks involved in playing his position on the football field, Thomas replied, “not at all.”
Fantasy Impact: Head trauma in the NFL is obviously a serious issue. Two concussions in such a short time span seems very concerning, but Thomas has reportedly passed the NFL’s protocol concussion testing and is once again cleared for contact.
There is no official word yet on Thomas' playing status for Week 7. Even if he is technically good to go, the Dolphins may still be cautious with the running back. Expect Reggie Bush to continue hogging carries out of the backfield as he pursues a league rushing title.
