Rashard Mendenhall still needs to pass a knee strength test before he can make his expected Week 5 season debut Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Mendenhall has been gradually recovering from a torn ACL injury suffered late last season.
Rashard Mendenhall must pass strength test before making Week 5 fantasy debut
Rashard Mendenhall must pass a knee strength test before making his 2012 season debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Head coach Mike Tomlin has said that he expect Mendenhall to play, so there shouldn't be much concern about the running back possibly failing the test. Mendenhall has been on the verge of returning for several weeks now since being taken off the PUP list during preseason. Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer have been underwhelming, so expect Mendenhall to take back the lion's share of carries in due course. He isn't a safe fantasy option this week, however, with a lighter load possible going up against a stout Eagles front.
