New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks won't play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, coach Tom Coughlin said on Thursday. Nicks, who missed most of the preseason because of a foot injury, has been slowed more recently by swelling in his knee. Nicks will now have missed three straight games for the Giants, who are expected to start Domenik Hixon in place of Nicks on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: The only good thing about this for Nicks owners is that they have time to find a Plan B for Sunday. Hixon, who had six catches for 114 yards last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, would be a good place to start on the waiver wire. He is now a decent No. 2 fantasy option at WR now that Nicks has been ruled out.
