Steven Jackson carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards against the Cardinals on Thursday night, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. He found his stride several on several drives, but the Rams continued to give carries to Daryl Richardson as well, limiting Jackson’s value.

Fantasy Impact: For the record, Jackson was questionable coming into Week 5, so St. Louis might have been holding him back a bit. He looked like the best runner among the Rams’ backfield, but he couldn’t quite break off a big run to pay off for fantasy owners. Richardson taking carries hurts Jackson’s value, so be sure to check on any news surrounding this situation going forward. Don’t expect much from either next week against the stout Dolphins run defense.
