UPDATE (5:00 PM): NORV TURNER HAS CONFIRMED THAT MATHEWS’ NECK HASN’T IMPROVED ENOUGH TO WHERE HE CAN PRACTICE, SUGGESTING HE MAY NOT PLAY SUNDAY. I ALLUDED TO IT BELOW, BUT FANTASY OWNERS SHOULD DEFINITELY LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVES NOW.
Ryan Mathews held out of practice Thursday, putting fantasy value in doubt
Ryan Mathews missed his second day of practice after getting his neck banged up on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (neck) was held out of practice Thursday, reports beat writer Tom Krasovic. Mathews suffered the neck injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit with Bucs LB Quincy Black. That hit sent Black to the hospital and ended his season, but Mathews stayed in the game.
With two straight missed practices, his status for Week 11 is up in the air.
Fantasy Impact: It's fortunate that his injury wasn't as serious as Black's, but Mathews is far from a sure thing to suit up against the Broncos. I expect him to be listed as questionable at best, perhaps doubtful, in Friday's injury reports.
Even if active, Mathews is a shaky fantasy play against Denver’s defense. I would recommend shopping around for other alternatives at your RB2/flex position.
