The Minnesota Vikings remain optimistic about WR Jerome Simpson (back). According to ESPN 1500, offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave believes that Simpson is "getting back to being close to healthy". Simpson has been dealing with a disc issue in his back, leading to weakness in his lower leg and foot.
Jerome Simpson ‘close to healthy’, but fantasy value remains low
The Vikings believe that Jerome Simpson is slowly getting back to full health. We break down the fantasy implications.

He has just seven catches for 95 yards and zero TDs as the injury has been bothering him all year.
Fantasy Impact: Musgrave believes that the injury is what’s leading to Simpson’s struggles in route-running and getting separation from defenders. Those are not issues he wants to have this week, when he takes on Seattle’s physical, aggressive corners.
Needless to say, Simpson is still well off the fantasy radar.
