The Jacksonville Jaguars were down to their fourth-string running back in their 34-18 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Starting running back Maurice Jones-Drew has missed five games with a foot injury, Jalen Parmele is on injured reserve, and Rashad Jennings suffered a concussion in the first half against the Bills. With the top three backs out, Montell Owens became the featured back.
Jacksonville Jaguars fantasy running back picture is muddled
The Jacksonville Jaguars backfield is littered with injuries as they prepare to take on the New York Jets. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said Jones-Drew could be back for the Jags game against the Jets. If he is unable to go Owens will likely get the start.
Fantasy Impact: Keep an eye on MJD throughout the week. If he is cleared to play he may be worth putting back in your lineup. Before getting injured he had 86 carries for 414 yards and a rushing touchdown as well as a touchdown receiving.
If Owens gets the start he could be a possible flex option. Owens rushed seven times for 29 yards and caught one pass for 11 yards against the Bills on Sunday.
