Mohamed Sanu was placed on injured reserve by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday due to a stress fracture in his left foot, according to Adam Caplan. Sanu suffered the injury in practice Wednesday prior to last week's game against the San Diego Chargers.
Mohamed Sanu placed on injured reserve: Fantasy season over
Mohamed Sanu’s season is over after being placed on injured reserve Tuesday by the Bengals due to a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Sanu had been playing very well prior to the injury, catching four touchdown passes over his last three outings. Andrew Hawkins, Marvin Jones and Brandon Tate could all see more targets with Sanu out for the rest of the season.
Fantasy Impact: Tuesday’s news comes as an incredible disappointment for the rookie. Sanu was finally coming into his own after seeing little work over the course of the first nine weeks of the season. In his last outing, he caught a career-high five receptions off nine targets and two scores, albeit for a paltry 29 yards. He will be regarded as a potential sleeper in fantasy drafts next year, and will deliver on that promise if he can maintain his torrid scoring rate.
