Darren McFadden, out since a high ankle injury suffered in Week 9, practiced in full on Wednesday is expected to play against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. The Raiders are 0-4 since losing their starting running back, in addition to losing backup Mike Goodson with his own high ankle injury.
Darren McFadden injury update: Fantasy owners take notice, he is expected to play
After a full practice on Wednesday, there is little doubt that the Raiders will get McFadden back this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

McFadden has struggled for most of the season, rushing for 455 yards and two touchdowns on just 3.3 yards per carry. This will decrease the role of Marcel Reece, the player that has replaced McFadden in the meantime, though Reece has probably earned extra reps after averaging 4.7 yards per carry and totaling 467 yards on 46 catches out of the backfield.
Fantasy Take: I would not expect much from McFadden only because he hasn’t done much this season. Even when he was healthy, he was wildly frustrating and inconsistent and unable to score when the Raiders got near the end zone, which was not very often.
It would be a risk to start him on Thursday against a good Denver defense. He’s a flex play.
