The Minnesota Vikings have placed receiver Percy Harvin on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season. Harvin injured the ankle in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks and has not played since. It didn't appear at first that the injury was going to be so serious, but as time has gone on it became apparent that he could miss significant time.
Percy Harvin injury update: Fantasy owners must look elsewhere after receiver is place on Injured Reserve
The Vikings top receiving threat is out for the rest of the year. We break down the fantasy implications.

Harvin ends his season with 62 catches for 677 yards and 3 touchdowns to go along with 22 rushes for 96 yards and another touchdown. Minnesota faces the Bears in Week 14.
Fantasy Take: Terrible news for any Harvin owners that were holding out hope that he'd make a return during the fantasy playoffs. Teammate Chad Greenway called Harvin the best player in the NFL, and he's certainly one of the most talented and explosive, but he'll spend the rest of the season on the sideline.
Rookie Jarius Wright may have to step up in Harvin’s absence as Minnesota still fights for a playoff spot.
