Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. says the team wants to see RB Chris Ivory do a better job of holding onto the football. Ivory has had trouble with fumbles and Carmichael says Ivory's ball security has been receiving extra attention in practice. Ivory led the Saints in rushing in 2010 but the Times-Picayune reports that he's being pushed for a roster spot by Travaris Cadet. In two preseason games, Ivory has carried the ball 17 times for just 30 yards.
Saints RB Chris Ivory Fighting for Roster Spot: Fantasy Implications
Saints RB Chris Ivory is being challenged to do a better job of protecting the football. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The fact that Ivory's ball security problems are being talked about with reporters is a bad sign. The Saints host Jacksonville Friday and Ivory will certainly want to have a good game. But even if he does, fantasy owners will only need to worry about him if there are injuries or he ends up on another team. Darren Sproles is the top New Orleans RB for fantasy owners to target and the team still has Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas ahead of Ivory.
