Buccaneers running back LeGarrette Blount suffered a groin injury on Friday, but it is not considered to be very serious. Head coach Greg Schiano is unsure if Blount will play next week, but it sounds very unlikely that he'd miss any regular season games because of it. Blount ran for 781 yards last season but is expected to be in more of a ball share this season with rookie Doug Martin.
LeGarrette Blount’s Injury Not Serious: Fantasy Implications
LeGarrette Blount’s injury should not keep him out of regular season action. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Implications: He was a pretty big disappointment last season for fantasy owners after rushing for over 1,000 yards as a rookie, but that’s because Blount doesn’t really look like a feature back. He needs to be used sparingly by the Bucs to be most effective and that’s why he ran for 5 yards per carry in 2010 but only 4.2 yards per carry last season. The addition of Martin could actually help his value as long as you recognize that he wasn’t a starting fantasy running back to begin with. He’ll have some good weeks but not consistently.
