Cardinals running back Beanie Wells will make his preseason debut this Thursday against the Titans. Wells has been recovering from right knee surgery but was activated from the PUP list on August 7th and is ready for game action according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt. He rushed for 1,047 yards and 10 touchdowns last year.

Fantasy Implications: Being healthy is good but another issue for Wells in regards to fantasy football is the health and performance of Ryan Williams who missed all of 2011. Williams has run for 25 yards on five preseason carries with a touchdown last night against the Raiders. Wells was a featured back last season but we shouldn't expect either of them to consistently be getting 20 carries in a game while both are healthy and I found Wells to be wildly inconsistent last year. He ran for 228 of his yards in a single game against the Rams. I am not high on either Cardinals running back unless one of them becomes the only guy getting most of the carries.
