An MRI has revealed no major damage to the left knee of San Francisco 49ers RB Brandon Jacobs. That's according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, citing a source with knowledge of the running back's condition. Jacobs was hurt on Friday after being struck in the knee by Houston CB Kareem Jackson late in the first quarter. Jacobs had to be carted off to the locker room.
MRI on Brandon Jacobs Reveals No Major Damage to Left Knee: Fantasy Implications
Report: An MRI has revealed no major damage to the left knee of San Francisco 49ers RB Brandon Jacobs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: This could have been a tough blow for the 49ers, who brought in Jacobs to help carry the load with Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter and rookie LaMichael James. For fantasy owners, however, Jacobs figures to be a No. 4 back whose value is tied to the health and productivity of Gore, Hunter and James. It isn't clear when Jacobs will return to action but that should not impact where he's drafted right now.
