The Chicago Sun Times reports that Bears rookie WR Alshon Jeffery has been told by coaches to "play smarter" after being penalized for unnecessary roughness in Saturday's preseason game with the Washington Redskins. In the first quarter, Jeffery was caught retaliating against Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Jeffery finished the game with three catches for 62 yards.
Bears Coaches Tell WR Alshon Jeffery to ‘Play Smarter’: Fantasy Implications
Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is being told by coaches to play smarter after picking up an unnecessary roughness penalty. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Jeffery says he's learned his lesson, so fantasy owners should feel free to take notice of the 62 yards on three catches. The second-round pick from South Carolina has had a solid preseason and could get some chances to make plays opposite Chicago's top receiver Brandon Marshall. Jeffery is probably a fringe No. 4 receiver in most fantasy formats right now, but would be a solid pick in dynasty and keeper leagues. His value could increase in all formats if Jay Cutler shows a willingness to keep throwing his way.
