Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin said he was a little sore after his first NFL game, according to Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times. Martin was used extensively on Sunday in the team's Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers. The rookie carried the ball 24 times for 95 yards and also caught four passes for 23 yards. Tampa Bay plays the New York Giants in Week 2.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners had to be encouraged with the way Martin was used against Carolina and shouldn’t be concerned about him being sore. New coach Greg Schiano was expected to install a run-first offense and Martin certainly benefited from it in Week 1. He is looking like a solid start for Week 2.
