Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will rejoin the crowded backfield this week against the New Orleans Saints, returning from an ankle injury. Stewart has been out since August 26th after suffering the injury against the Jets in the preseason. The Panthers could use him after showing no ground game against the Buccaneers in their week 1 loss, gaining just three yards on eleven carries total.
Jonathan Stewart Will Play Week 2, Crowds Panthers’ Fantasy Value
Jonathan Stewart will return to action in week 2 after missing time with an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Analysis: It seemed as though DeAngelo Williams would have been a good play in week 1 but he ended with one negative yard on six carries. Cam Newton also struggled to get going after rushing for four yards on five carries of his own. The Saints allowed 153 yards to the Redskins in their own week 1 loss, so it's possible that the addition of Stewart will get them going on the ground again, but is probably not a safe play after missing a few weeks with the injury.
