St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson said after Sunday's win over the Washington Redskins that he will try and return for the game against the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Jackson left in the second quarter against Washington because of a groin injury, finishing with 58 yards on nine carries. Jackson was taken out of the game after drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for spiking the ball in frustration just short of the end zone. He was replaced by rookie Daryl Richardson, who had 83 yards on 15 carries.

St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson has a strained groin and says he will try to be ready for Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: If Jackson is injured seriously, Richardson is someone owners will want to snag off the waiver wire this week. He was effective against Washington and scored on a two-point conversion to give the Rams a three-point lead. Fantasy owners should monitor reports out of St. Louis to see which running back is the best option for Week 3.
