New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has officially been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Carolina Panthers with an injured foot. Nicks was listed as questionable earlier today, after there were expectations that he'd be fine to play, but all of a sudden he has gone from being expected to play to out in a short period of time. Nicks is off to a fast start with 14 catches for 237 yards through two games, but will now be setback a bit with this current injury.
Hakeem Nicks Ruled Out For Thursday, Fantasy Owners Must Look Elsewhere
Hakeem Nicks is officially listed as out for Thursday’s game against Carolina. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Analysis: This is a major blow to fantasy owners who must now scramble to get Nicks out of their lineup by tomorrow night. This is a good reminder of why it's important to keep up to date with news now that Thursday is a regular game day for the NFL. Victor Cruz will be the only proven receiver available for the Giants, as Domenik Hixon is also out this week, giving rookie Rueben Randle a chance to step up and produce. I expect this could be a shootout and a huge game for Cruz.
