St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson was held out of Wednesday's practice with a groin injury that he suffered in Sunday's win over the Redskins, however he earlier revealed that the results of the MRI taken this week showed no serious damage. Jackson being held out of practice could just be a precaution as the team tries to rest him so that he will be able to start this week against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Analysis: The signs of age, wear and tear, might finally be beginning to show on Jackson. It could be nothing serious, but either way Jackson struggled for 53 yards on 21 carries against the Lions in week 1 and then Detroit allowed 89 yards on just 17 carries to Frank Gore in week 2. Jackson did have 58 yards on nine carries against the Redskins before leaving with the injury, but then unknown Daryl Richardson got 83 yards on 15 of his carries in relief. Jackson can possibly still be a solid flex play or decent RB2, but at this point he can't be considered a number one option and after so many touches in his career, could be more susceptible to injury.
