Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart may not play on Thursday against the New York Giants, according to a report from CBS Sports. The report, citing multiple sources, said Stewart was unlikely to play much, if at all. Stewart did not practice this week because of a toe injury. Coach Ron Rivera said Wednesday that Stewart, who was listed as questionable, would be a game-time decision.
Report: Jonathan Stewart Unlikely To Play Much Vs. Giants; Fantasy Value Dropping
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will reportedly not play much, if at all, on Thursday against the New York Giants. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: This report doesn't change much in terms of Stewart's value, as fantasy owners should have already been prepared to go with someone else. Stewart didn't play in Week 1 after missing practice because of an ankle injury and it sounds like he could be limited, at best, this week. DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert will see the bulk of the carries if Stewart doesn't play. Williams would go from a No. 3 fantasy back or flex play to a low-end No. 2 option if Stewart is inactive.
