San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews is expected to make his season debut on Sunday against the Falcons, according to a report from Adam Schefter on Sunday NFL Countdown. Mathews has missed the first two games of the regular season from a clavicle injury that he suffered in the preseason. The Chargers have struggled to run the ball, despite their 2-0 start, with Curtis Brinkley carrying it 28 times for only 55 yards.
Ryan Mathews Expected To Make Season Debut, Fantasy Debut
Ryan Mathews is expected to return from a broken collarbone on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Analysis: The Falcons are also 2-0, but they have no had a good run defense. It’s an interesting matchup between two teams that are finally off to good starts but have struggled in certain areas. There is no competition for Mathews at the running back spot, that’s been proven, but how much can he carry it in his first game back? I expect this game to have a lot of scoring, so he may be worth a flex spot if you don’t have any better options.
