Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure, who has never had an NFL carry after missing 2011 with injury and suspended to start this year, will start today according to Dave Birkett. Incumbent starter Jahvid Best is on the PUP list with concussion issues and current starter Kevin Smith will apparently move to a backup role although it might not be that significant of a move. Whether starting or not, it's still possible that Leshoure and Smith will each have their own significant role in the offense, as they are very different types of backs.
Mikel Leshoure Starting For Lions, Raising Fantasy Value
Mikel Leshoure will start his first NFL game in his first NFL game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Analysis: I would not start Leshoure in a fantasy league but I would definitely demote Smith. Not that Leshoure can't be great, but I'd feel nervous about starting a player that has never played in a regular season game before. He might still only get 10 carries or less, we will just have to see, although the Titans have played awfully this season and it could be a big game for all Lions.
