Green Bay Packers running back James Starks' turf toe injury could affect him all year long, says beat writer Tom Silverstein. Starks, who had 578 rushing yards a year ago, has yet to play this season. Packers coaches don't believe that Starks can be an asset on the field until he can "plant and go" so it appears that Cedric Benson is in no danger of losing carries at this time.
James Starks’ injury could affect him all year, strengthening Cedric Benson’s fantasy value
James Starks turf toe could be an issue all year, giving Cedric Benson a strong hold on the majority of carries in Green Bay.

Fantasy Take: The Packers are not known as a running team and they have attempted 115 passes from Aaron Rodgers compared to 46 carries for Benson. Still, Benson was an asset to Green Bay in the second half of their Monday night loss to the Seahawks and had 45 rushing yards with a touchdown. He's still not a great week-to-week play but he is definitely a better fantasy asset when he's the only one carrying the ball. Benson could be a sleeper this week against the Saints.
