Cleveland Browns running back Brandon Jackson is making a strong push to supplant Montario Hardesty as the team's No. 2 running back, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Jackson is listed third on Cleveland's depth chart but put together a solid finish to the preseason.
Browns RB Brandon Jackson Could See Slight Bump In Fantasy Value If He Is Team’s No. 2 Back
Cleveland Browns running back Brandon Jackson is making a serious push to be Trent Richardson’s primary backup. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: This is only worth noting if Trent Richardson is held out of the season opener. Richardson had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee last month, but Cleveland coaches are optimistic Richardson will play in the season-opener. Richardson, however, has not practiced since Aug. 6. Fantasy owners who have Richardson will obviously need to keep a close eye on this, but don't need to be in a hurry to pick up Hardesty or Jackson.
