Mike Shanahan reported that Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather sprained his MCL and PCL in practice this week. The injury will cause Meriweather to miss the next 2-4 weeks of the regular season. With the departure of Laron Lalndry, this comes as a huge hit to the 'Skins as they were looking to fill the position with the former Patriots and Bears safety.
Broncos S Brandon Meriweather Sprains MCL/PCL: Fantasy Implications
Denver Broncos safety Brandon Meriweather sprained his MCL and PCL this week in practice. We discuss the fantasy implications at SB Nation.

Analysis: The Washington Redskins D/ST has sleeper fantasy value, but Meriweather’s injury does not help it out any. Secondary injuries can typically lead to more points being score upon that team, which negates points from fantasy defenses. Meriweather was also a good support against the run. Without support in the secondary, it’s going to be more difficult for players like Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan to get to the quarterback.
