Vikings tight end John Carlson is finally healthy and ready to play. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota Vikings tight end John Carlson was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and is expected to play in week one against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Carlson missed the entire pre-season with an MCL sprain after missing the entire 2011 season with a torn labrum. The Vikings signed Carlson to a 5-year, $25 million contract despite the injury but he's just now getting healthy again. He's still expected to get reps behind starter Kyle Rudolph.

Fantasy Implications: Carlson was a tight end on the rise in Seattle after catching 106 psses for 1,201 yards and twelve touchdowns in his first two seasons, but he hardly participated in the passing game in year three. After missing all of last season with a shoulder injury he’s been mostly an afterthought for fantasy rosters but he’ll get an opportunity of Rudolph fails to improve in his second season. Either way, Carlson should not be on your fantasy roster as of yet but he is finally healthy.
