Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best says he expects to be cleared when he's allowed to return from the physically-unable-to-perform list, The Detroit Free Press reports. Best hasn't played in a game since last October, when he suffered his second concussion of the season against the San Francisco 49ers. Because he is on the PUP list, Best must miss the first six weeks of the regular season.
Lions RB Jahvid Best Expects To Be Cleared To Play In Week 7: Fantasy Implications
Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best says he expects to be cleared to return to action once he’s eligible to return from the physically-unable-to-perform list. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Best is clearly a fantasy non-factor at this point but the Lions are by no means set at running back heading into the season. Kevin Smith is set to be the Week 1 starter, while Mikel Leshoure figures to get a chance once he returns from a two-game suspension. If the running game isn't gong well when Best is eligible to come back, he could get an opportunity later in the season.
