The decision on whether or not Adrian Peterson will play for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday could come by Friday night or Saturday morning, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Peterson has been continuing limited practice this week and wants to play, but the coaches want to make sure they aren't rushing him. He's been healing from ACL surgery in January.

Fantasy Analysis: This news coming before Sunday would be a major relief to fantasy owners who don't want to have to wait for a game time decision. It seems very possible that Peterson will be active against the Jaguars in week 1 but that doesn't mean he's going to get very many touches. It would be risky to start Peterson if he is listed as active, but if he's ruled out for the game then Toby Gerhart's fantasy stock would considerably go up.
