Thad Lewis has strong fantasy debut before leaving game with injury
Thad Lewis threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns, along with a rushing touchdown, against the Bengals on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Despite the team loss, he led the Bills into overtime against a Bengals team that held Tom Brady without a touchdown in Week 5. Lewis showed good instincts in the pocket, taking advantage of mismatches in the secondary and securing the ball himself if there were no other options. Lewis was seen in a walking boot after limping through the second half. The extent of Lewis' injury is unknown.
Fantasy impact: The Bills can't afford to lose another quarterback to injury. Even if Lewis returns in Week 7, he's merely a stash option in deeper fantasy leagues. As with any fantasy debut, it's difficult to determine how effective Lewis will be on a consistent basis. After the Bills play Miami in Week 7, they'll have an onslaught of tough defenses that include the Saints, Chiefs, and Steelers. Lewis is a tempting pick up in two-quarterback leagues, but the injury is enough concern to wait before spending waiver priority on him.
