Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts has been just about what fantasy owners expected in 2013 -- decent in PPR leagues with 31 catches, but only one touchdown. He suffered a clavicle injury early on in the first quarter of last week's game against the Denver Broncos. He didn't return and had not caught a pass before the injury.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: Cecil Shorts
The Jaguars wide receiver says he will play despite a clavicle injury that comes with a questionable tag. Can he produce through the pain in Week 7? We break down the fantasy implications.

Despite the fact that Shorts was in a tremendous amount of pain all week and is listed as questionable, he says that will play this week against the San Diego Chargers. Quarterback Phillip Rivers has his team rolling as they have dramatically improved from last year. With the Jaguar's shaky secondary, there is a very realistic chance that San Diego will put up big points on the 0-6 Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact: If Shorts does in fact play, he will not be 100-percent healthy and presents a high-risk fantasy play. While the opportunity for garbage times points is always a factor with Jacksonville, owners should only start Shorts if they can't find a viable alternative. With emerging superstar Justin Blackmon continuing to make plays and eat up targets, Shorts is a low-upside WR3 at best.
