Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson had another effective all-around performance on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Splitting the backfield with C.J. Spiller, Jackson carried the ball 11 times for 36 yards and a touchdown. He also had four catches for 49 yards.
Fred Jackson solid for Chief, fantasy owners
The Bills running back had another productive outing, but not a spectacular one. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: While Jackson didn’t turn many heads with this line, he once again provided solid production for an RB2 with limited opportunities. While owners would love to see Jackson return to the 15-20 carry range, today’s numbers may be closer to what should be expected for the near future. He now has 32 carries over the last 3 weeks.
There is little reason to believe that Jackson’s situation will improve. The Bills have issues at quarterback, receiver and offensive line and Spiller isn’t going anywhere. Jackson now has five touchdowns on the year. While owners can expect reasonable production out of the 31 year-old veteran, it’s clear that Jackson isn’t going to carry the rest of your fantasy team. He remains a lower-end RB2/flex play and has little upside going forward.
