Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller (ankle) did not practice with the team on Friday. He is listed as doubtful and is not expected to play in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints. He did not practice on Thursday and fantasy owners need to have an alternate player ready to go. His ankle injury has severely limited his big-play ability all year.
C.J. Spiller listed as doubtful, not expected to play for fantasy owners
C.J. Spiller did not practice all week and likely won’t play in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Spiller getting a rest is probably the best thing that his disappointed fantasy owners can hope for long-term. The talented back has produced well short of his top-five ADP thus far as he has rushed for only 362 yards and one touchdown on the season. Running back Fred Jackson will draw the start, and Tashard Choice figures to be in the mix as the change-of-pace role.
Fred Jackson will be a mid-range RB2 in the starting role against the Saints. With quarterback Drew Brees and his high-powered passing attack in town, there is a very realistic possibility that the Bills will be playing from behind for most of the game. Jackson is only an average receiving back and a large point deficit will likely limit his carries.
