Newly acquired Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman is not a candidate to start the team's Week 6 game, according to Chip Scoggins of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Josh Freeman not a candidate to start Week 6 for Vikings, decreasing fantasy value
It will take some time for the Josh Freeman era to begin in Minnesota.

Christian Ponder has been dealing with a rib injury, and Matt Cassel played well in the Vikings' Week 4 win before the bye. If Ponder is healthy, Frazier will have a tough decision to make for this week, but Freeman will work his way into the picture sooner rather than later given his $3 million salary.
Fantasy spin: Josh Freeman has some upside in an offense that has the weapons to give him some help. However, it will likely take him some time to get up to speed with the playbook and get comfortable with his teammates. Thus, it’s hard to see him working his way into fantasy relevance before the last week of the season.
Still, any improvement at quarterback would help the entire Vikings’ offense, which has been a bit inconsistent to start the season.
